Caring for a Parent with Dementia: An 8-Week Group for Adult Children

Caring for a parent with dementia often involves ongoing emotional and practical adjustments that can be difficult to fully process in real time.
This structured, closed group offers space to slow that experience down through a combination of guided discussion and brief psychoeducation.

Group details
- 8-week closed virtual group (same participants each week)
- Thursdays, 6:00–7:30 pm
- 6–8 participants
- $75 per session (8-week commitment)
- Oregon residents (telehealth via Zoom)
- Start date: June 4, 2026
Format
Each session includes a brief check-in, a focused topic, and facilitated group discussion. The structure is consistent from week to week so participants can build continuity and familiarity over time.
Who this is for
Adult children currently caring for a parent with Alzheimer’s disease or another form of dementia who are looking for structured support and space to reflect on the emotional and practical aspects of caregiving. This group is not appropriate for those experiencing crisis.
